On the heels of President Xi’s remarks last week that China “should adopt Blockchain ledger technology” a still to be confirmed video news report out of China, posted to Twitter today by Block Journal suggests that the countries authorities have decided to also launch their own digital currency, known as DCEP.
As indicated by Block Journal’s Twitter account: “according to this video (to be confirmed), Chinese Central Bank will launch digital currency called DCEP. To be tested and onboarded with commercial banks first”.
