China’s Blockchain Service Network (BSN) of the State Information Center will support EOS and Ethereum nodes reported the organization.

According to the BSN Development Association, support for cryptocurrency nodes with a public blockchain will expand the capabilities of the “blockchain as a service” and operational functionality for platform clients.

Support of the EOS nodes on BSN is expected in late July. This will allow foreign participants of the system to launch simplified versions of EOS nodes in one click. Support of other public blockchains, including Ethereum, will be implemented at a later stage.

The BSN platform is designed to simplify and reduce the cost of deploying blockchain applications by companies. Its launch is scheduled for April 25th. The initiative was also supported by the China Mobile Communications Research Institute, UnionPay, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom mobile operators, as well as Beijing Red Date Technology.

According to the white paper of the project, each of its participants will have to individually determine the admissibility of using public network nodes. For example, the authorities of Chinese cities will be prohibited from working on public blockchains – they will be able to use only private networks.

Recall that last week, the Chinese government created a special committee tasked with developing national standards for blockchain technology and distributed ledger technology (DLT).
