Ledger acquired an insurance policy to protect cryptocurrency assets of Ledger Vault platform customers up to $ 150 million.

The insurance program was implemented by Arch Insurance (UK) Limited and Marsh – participants of the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.

It applies to:

  • theft of private keys in the event of a physical hacking of a hardware security module (HSM) in a data center;
  • key leaks during customer registration;
  • insider theft in the Ledger platform.

All cryptocurrencies supported by the platform are covered by the Ledger Vault security policy. Its clients also have the opportunity to purchase additional primary insurance coverage for assets under a simplified scheme.
