According to Tether website, a total of $ 7.5 billion USDT has been issued so far. Most of the coins are based on the Ethereum blockchain.

Earlier, researchers at the Haas business school of the University of California at Berkeley concluded that the issue of Tether and other stable coins does not push cryptocurrencies to growth.
